What is your approach to pet training?
We are 100 % fair, 100 % consistent, and hold your pup 100 % accountable once they understand what is expected of them. 90 % of our training is gentle, but we are firm when necessary as it can save a dog or person's life and prevent other incidents from occurring. We utilize Willy Neckar's proven system that has stood the test of time for the last 80 years.

Is my pet too old to be trained?
This all depends on you dogs health, temperament, problems, breed, and their willingness to participate. Bring you pup and family in so that we can assess your situation and steer you in the right direction.
What veterinarian records are needed for daycare at Tamed Tail?
Your dog needs his/her rabies, distemper, and Bordetella (a.k.a. kennel cough) vaccines before boarding at the kennel. We also need a recent NEGATIVE fecal sample on record (within the last week of your drop off date)
What supplies do I need to bring with my fur baby when he/she stays at Tamed Tail?
Proof of current vaccinations and a NEGATIVE fecal sample is needed for boarding and daycare.
What supplies should I leave with my fur baby when he/she stays at Tamed Tail?
-Enough dog food for the duration of your fur baby’s stay - If we need to we will purchase more food on your behalf, and add this to your bill.
-Medication necessary for your fur baby. There is no additional charge for giving medicine to your fur baby. We are able to administer the medication as we see fit or to your standards and liking.
-1 bag of SOFT Training Treats (Preferably Zuke’s brand) & Bones (optional)
-Toys that you know your fur baby enjoys the most!
-Blankets and Beds - We do have our own blankets that we will gladly put down with your dog if requested. We always put cat beds in every room.
We have never had any issues to date, but please keep in mind that dogs are messy and accidents happen. We suggest not bringing anything too expensive so that items are not lost or damaged.
How is a trainer chosen for my fur baby?
We typically pair your fur baby with a trainer that we believe will best suit your dog's personality. However, your dog will be trained by multiple handlers to expose all problems that have yet to surface and ensure your pup receives a solid foundation that will last the test of time. Lastly, multiple trainers guarantee your success as a handler, because in your fur babies mind they believe that more than one person understands our training system.
